Richard B. Cheney, distinguished businessman and public servant is vice-president. Cheney known as a popular figure in Washington politics has worked with four presidents in the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush picked Cheney in July 2000 as his running mate. He praised Cheney's wisdom and judgement. Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of a President, he served as a member of Congress and he was Secretary of Defense. It's clear that he is a man with integrity, with the respect of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney claims that he sees his role as part of the administration as a candid but quiet advisor to Bush. Cheney declared that when he decided to accept the Republican nomination as vice president Cheney was looking forward to working alongside a President who will work across political lines and work with political rivals on a good basis with shared goals. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941. He was born in Lincoln Nebraska. He moved into Casper, Wyoming with his family when he reached the age of 13. His dad, who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district located in Casper.
