Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress is famous for her roles as the main character in a variety of television series as well as her outstanding performances in films. The actress is popular on Canadian and American television. Emily began acting at 12 after visiting her older sister Katie in one of Katie's films. When she realized her love in the world of acting she enrolled herself in acting classes and started auditioning. She began with some commercials and was soon selected as a child actress on the Canadian television horror show Are You Scared of Darkness? where she was seen in just one scene without any dialog. In the WB TV show Glory Days, she received her first break in the industry at the age of 15. Although the show was canceled after nine episodes Emily's performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his television show Everwood. Emily was also a dancer as well as a photographer. Teen once named her one of the most talented actresses below the age of twenty. Maxim placed her at number 51 on its Hot 100 of 2014.
